About Rev. Ben Taiwo Adekanla, Esq.

Rev. Ben Taiwo Adekanla, Esq. is the Founding and Managing Partner of The Shield Attorneys PRUC, a distinguished Ghanaian law firm committed to providing strategic, ethical, and client-focused legal services. A seasoned courtroom litigation lawyer with over two decades of experience, Rev. Adekanla is widely recognised for his tenacity, sharp legal mind, persuasive advocacy, and unwavering commitment to justice.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Professional Qualifying Certificate in Law (BL) from the Ghana School of Law. Long before his legal training, he earned a Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (B. Agric. Tech.) in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, Nigeria, in 2001. His academic journey further includes a Master of Arts in Ministry (M.A.M.) from Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, obtained in 2023, affirming his dual commitment to both legal excellence and spiritual leadership.

Rev. Adekanla has established a solid reputation in diverse practice areas, including real estate and land litigation, corporate and commercial law, family and matrimonial matters, employment and labour law, insurance, maritime and aviation law, and constitutional litigation.

Beyond his legal practice, he is an ordained minister of the Gospel and serves as the Resident/Head Pastor of Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM), East Airport Branch, Accra. Known for seamlessly integrating his legal expertise with pastoral leadership, he upholds integrity, compassion, and faith as guiding principles in both his legal and spiritual mandates.

Rev. Adekanla is also a thought leader and public speaker, frequently engaging legal and ecclesiastical audiences on the intersection of law, leadership, and ethical responsibility. His life’s work reflects a deep passion for defending the vulnerable, promoting justice, and mentoring the next generation of legal and spiritual leaders.
